The development association of Jihad Binaa was launched its first job, after the vicious explosion of Bir al-Abed region in the southern suburbs of Beirut in 1985, where the teams of engineers and workers of the association surveyed the damage, and maintained the damaged buildings and their restoration, as well as the restoration and maintenance of public utilities, roads. What is worth mentioning that several buildings collapsed because of the explosive strength and the huge explosive device, which claimed the lives of more than 150 people and hundreds wounded.

This unjust explosive, despite its horror and harshness and cruelty, was the first step of the pioneers of construction in the Association, that implanted them confronting a huge claim, and their first task will not be as easy as it seems, and the pathway needs great effort and giving, and the continuity of this pathway may need in certain time and cases exert blood.

This generosity of exerting blood turned into a continued saga, where its poems were written by the blood of the Mujahidin in the outposts and the confrontation region of what was called the occupied zone, where the Zionist enemy has occupied an important part of the Lebanese territory in the south and the Bekaa, and make it a raging place of its battles and confrontation in fear of the approach of the Mujahidin up to the international border with the occupied Palestine, and thus how they created «the occupied strip» imagining that it might become fort, but suddenly and quickly turned into their grave which burn them with their collaborators sending them into the hell fire. This region becomes a feared zone where the terrorist Ariel Sharon, named the South of Lebanon as a great jail of his soldiers.

This generosity, and this tender, needs an ongoing support, and the most important forms of support was to help the population to stay in their land and to reassure their security, and perhaps the repair and eliminating the effects of the aggression is the most important of these elements. The repair is considered a developed project where its aims is to remove the effects of aggression using all available capacity, in order to help the villages bordering to the enemy, to confront the destructive machine, and to overcome the difficulties in securing the minimum elements of a decent life, through the maintenance of public facilities of roads, water pipes and the electrical network.

Since 1985, the western Bekaa, was a strip of the hilltop of the resistance, which was exposed to a daily aggression from sniping and shelling and air strikes to the enemy Zionist aircraft, this caused a lot of destruction, and without the efforts of the Jihad Binaa organization for the restoration and maintenance, the area could have been abandoned and completely destroyed, as happened to the village of the legendary steadfastness: Maidoun and its neighbouring villages.

Thus, the western Bekaa to the south and the coast, the military machines of the enemy destroyed, and the men of Jihad Binaa repairing and constructing, until the Organization became a milestone in the construction, reconstruction and restoration, in a country was full of wars, and destroyed its infrastructure more than once, in a country where we can say the least what we can consider it a genie out of the ashes and rubble.
