When Hizbullah Secretary
General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
declared that houses will return "more beautiful
than they were", Jihad al Binaa adopted this
motto as a standard for the quality of its
work. It believed that the buildings should be
rebuilt more beautiful than they were, and that
it should satisfy and lighten off residents as
much as possible.
Through establishing a
specialized office, Jihad al Binaa classified
the buildings damaged due to the July 2006
aggression. The organization also technically
supervised the implementation in some sectors,
and the achievement was as follows:
1-Examining
all affected building, and preparing a detailed
form for each affected section with a
description of the construction status.
2-Preparing
a general map for the affected area, holding
tests for the sensitive buildings, and
classifying damages as follows:
-
Demolished building,
or those that should be demolished. These
buildings were handed over to WAAD (removing
rubbles or demolishing)
-
Highly affected
buildings (requires eviction and immediate
support), classified among structural repairs.
-
Average affected
buildings (requires eviction), classified among
limited structural repair buildings.
-
Slightly affected
buildings (don’t require eviction) – was handed
over to the compensation sector to directly
start paying compensation for residents
repairing their units.
-
Buildings that
require reconstruction of common parts – handed
over to the common parts office to start
implementation.
Coordination took place
with the following sides:
-
Engineering directory
in the Lebanese Army regarding dismantling the
unexploded rockets launched by the "Israeli"
enemy, and that are still under the residential
buildings.

was presented to the Higher Commission for
